Standards of Practice

 What is your responsibility as both an educator and learner to uphold these standards as a learner and educator?

As a teacher, it is my duty to put my knowledge into practice using a variety of approaches, set objectives and evaluation standards, and devote every effort to meeting a child's needs. Fostering an environment that is welcoming to all, appreciating diversity, attending to the needs of the kids, and fostering an atmosphere that embraces individuality. A teacher should never stop educating themselves. As a learner, it's critical to look for possibilities for professional growth by keeping up with the most recent pedagogies, which include online instruction.

How does your philosophy of education connect to these Standards?

Progressive education emphasizes problem-solving, hands-on learning, and incorporating real-world experiences into the curriculum. This viewpoint, in my opinion, is consistent with the Ontario Standards since it encourages me as a teacher to apply my professional expertise in the classroom, employ effective teaching strategies, and create a stimulating learning environment.
